Blackbird in Boulder

All my time in Ireland I was hoping to snag a close-up picture of a blackbird. Wasn't until I was back in the good ol US of A off the highway somewhere in between Boulder, Aspen and Steamboat Springs that I caught a blackbird chillin on a light post.

I wanted to put a magpie up. It's this bird in Ireland that brings you good luck if you talk to it. But man that thing didn't want a photoshoot. I knew it was a magpie because Steph is obsessed with birds. She knows all their calls, colors and walks. Bird-crazy roommates are cooool.
